North East Wales Dance
North East Wales Dance is based at the Royal International Pavilion, Llangollen; and is funded by the Arts Council of Wales and is a registered Charity. The project was conceived in 1998 and became a limited independent company in 2002.
The aim of the Charity is to promote dance as an art form within the communities of North East Wales through the advancement of education; and seeks to benefit a diverse cross-section of the community.
The organisation was founded; and is directed by a Wales based dance artist, Paul Anthony Davies , who has a long established international career in contemporary dance performance and the teaching of dance.
The company develops dance activities in the three unitary authorities of Denbighshire, Flintshire, and Wrexham. Strong links with the Royal International Pavilion, International Eisteddfod and Diversions Dance Company of Wales have also helped in the profile of the regional dance programme. The organisation and Board of Trustees are keen to forge long term partnerships with other similar companies and are enthusiastic in establishing key sponsorship support.
